Alexandra Goryachkina is the leader of the Russian national team and one of the strongest female chess players in the world in the last decade. Having won the 2019 Candidates Tournament, Alexandra fought equally with the champion Ju Wenjun in the match for the crown and lost only in the tie-break. Goryachkina is the winner of the 2023 Women's World Cup, a three-time champion of Russia, and a winner and medalist of many major international competitions. As part of the Russian national team, Goryachkina won the FIDE Online Olympiads and World Team Championships twice, and the European Team Championships four times.
