Official World Chess Studio pieces are exactly the same as the iconic pieces of the Championship set, but slightly smaller.

Like the Championship level pieces, the Studio pieces are handcrafted from the same high-quality material - boxwood

They are smaller than the Championship version (87% of the full size) and are ideal for home and club play. They fit well on any 40 and 45 cm square board, but were designed for use with a 45 cm folding board.

Supplied in a special travel case, they do not take up much space and can be easily stored or put in a weekend bag. Both the set and the packaging were designed by Daniel Weil of Pentagram for World Chess.

The set includes two additional queens.
The king is 7.9 cm tall. The base is 2.8 cm in diameter.
The pawn is 4.4 cm tall. The base is 2.1 cm in diameter.

The box measures 23*16*8 cm.
