Description

"The completeness of the information that any sufficiently qualified player must master, the step-by-step presentation of the material, accessibility ... The author has largely managed to embrace the immensity." This is how the international master of sports in chess Andrey Obodchuk appreciated the first multi—page work "Meet Chess" by Galina Mikhailenko. The first edition of the chess tutorial book was published due to the author's victory in the competition for the right to receive a grant from the Tyumen city administration "Save and Multiply". Claiming to be a useful tool for self-education and improvement of a person who is passionate about chess, for coaches working with children of all ages, the book covers educational material from the level of novice chess players to the level of master candidates. Twenty-five years ago, Galina Mikhailenko, a nine—time regional chess champion, began collecting material while teaching chess classes at the city's youth sports schools.... Everyone has the right to ask what is the distinctive feature of the new chess book. The answer to this question was given by the author herself: "The main difference of this textbook is the author's order of presentation: the book is divided into classes, each of which has a complete form (conclusion, assignment), its own sequence of analysis of certain topics studied, almost all the material presented has been tested by the author in classes with students"
