This is the chess set used in the World Championship Match and the Candidates Tournament.

This set was designed by Daniel Weil of Pentagram for World Chess and was presented at the 2013 Candidates Tournament in London, where Magnus Carlsen won a place in the final. It is currently the only standard for competition at the highest level.

This World Chess Academy set includes a full set of plastic chess pieces, custom-made and fine-tuned to reflect the distinctive silhouette of the championship version. The pieces are weighted, weighing a total of 600 grams. The king measures 86 mm, making the set suitable for club and tournament play. Two extra queens are included for practical use in real game situations.

The set comes with a folding board made of high-quality cardboard with 48 mm cells, making it a lightweight and portable option for daily practice.
