The art of maneuvering. Second edition

One of the last books by the famous coach Mark Dvoretsky (1947-2016) is devoted to the ability to maneuver, to find the best squares for pieces. The "Introduction" examines various aspects of skillful play with pieces, and then the reader is offered an extensive collection of exercises - from elementary to quite difficult.

The art of maneuvering is important at all stages of the game, so the exercises include opening, middlegame, and endgame positions, and not only taken from practical games, but also studies. Detailed comments in the "Answers" are not limited to indicating the only correct sequence of moves and the side variations that explain it: the author sought to reproduce the logic of finding a solution, to show how a chess player at the board could come to the right conclusions.

The second edition includes corrections indicated by the author himself.
