In this book, the authors confined themselves to the study of the most typical and most often encountered in practice rook endings. In this paper, the authors used an interesting way. Elementary positions are first examined, and the technique for achieving a win or draw is based on natural logical moves. Tactical subtleties are shown only where they are really needed. The transition to rook ends with two or more pawns was carried out in the order of a sequential increase in the material, and the authors sought to show the relationship with simpler endings. A whole series of such endings was investigated for the first time. In the last chapter, the authors, on the basis of the material worked out, summarized the main ideas that should be used when drawing rook endings. These ideas serve as guiding lighthouses in a maneuverable struggle and should facilitate the reader's choice in the right way. The book is a bibliographic rarity. It is designed for a qualified chess player.
