Chess textbook 1918-1945
-
The first edition of this monumental work of an outstanding grandmaster, writer, poet and translator Savely G. Tartakower was published in 1924 in four separate editions and was immediately adopted by chess fans who later became famous masters, grandmasters, and future theorists of modern chess. The “ultramodern chess game” reveals in great detail the essence and ideas of such players as Nimzowitsch, Reti, Alekhin and others, antagonists of Tarrasch's teachings. This, the 2nd edition for the first time comes out in a single package under a general binding. It undoubtedly is of historical value, showing the development of chess thought and at the same time will be useful for chess players of II-I classes and candidates for master.
