This edition - the first book in the series - is an attempt to collect and convey to the chess fans the diverse creative heritage of one of the most outstanding chess players in history - the eighth world champion Mikhail Tal. The book is based on a chronological principle. The first book covers the games played by M. Tal in the period from 1949 to 1961, the subsequent ones from 1962 to 1976. and from 1977 to 1992 (total 3000 parties and fragments). The difference between this edition and the previous ones is not only in the most complete reflection of the tournament and match practice of the eighth world champion. Undoubtedly, the readers will benefit and enjoy his notes on his own parts, made in hot pursuit and distinguished by the depth of analysis inherent in M. Tal in expression, fantasy, self-irony and humor. The fifth book on the work of Mikhail Tal covers the seven-year period (1980 - 1986), full of contrasts, hopes and disappointments. And yet, during this period, Tal not only upset his fans. Two gold Olympic medals were won, victories were won in 14 international tournaments, and many great games were played. Of great interest are his stories about tournaments and rivals.
